Day Two

I'm in Nelson right now. Very tourist town. Spent the night in Rock Creek and bathed under a water fall this morning, cool but invigorating. The #3 Highway is a phenomenal ride. It seems as if you go from dessert to mountain top all in one gentle motion, through long curves and over mountain tops. And then there are the corners marked with flashing amber signs and speed restrictions of 30 kms. The road wound down into Osoyoos as if it fell out of the sky. A green belt of orchards in a Mountains range of dried dirt and rock with the sweet smell of sage everywhere. It's like that on the bike, you are riding and then all of a sudden your senses are risen with a sent that fills your whole self, and then its gone as quick as it came. Seeing lots of sights and taking lots of photos. Toured the Rossland Gold mine today, very cool place. I was actually thinking today I've never actually done a solo trip before, it's due time. Lots of thought while I'm riding and star gazing, its all good. That's it for today. I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.
